Understandably we are thrilled that Ellipse has achieved so much over the past few years. Being a privately held company with a tiny set of shareholders means that our charitable initiatives can be funded without much effort. And, since each year we get stronger in our economic positioning our corporate tithing increases commensurately. We’ve been able to help so many companies and apartment communities lighten their work load with the technology solutions we provide, and the future looks bright with our SM suite of services. We hope by now that everyone has been made more aware of the dangers of breast cancer and successful treatments, via the initiatives that we have championed since efforts in 2001 with Breast Cancer Companion and our 2006 Buck Up and Wear It Campaign. Ellipse has contributed nearly $20,000 dollars along with applied employee time and talent to this worthy cause, and we will continue to do so. Others may be aware of the website development work we have done for some of our apartment associations such as the Apartment Association of Greater Memphis, and the SWAHMA, the Southwestern Affordable Housing Management Association in San Antonio, and our complimentary development work for REFEA, the Real Estate Financial Executives Association in Dallas. You might not know that more than once over the past years we have given back to our community by providing design and development or hosting services to local charitable organizations such as: The Unity Church of Grapevine, the Caruso Effect website completed in conjunction with ABC's televesion program The Benfactor, the Community Literacy Center in Oklahoma City, specialists in teaching adults to read, and Project Pet in Columbia, SC, creating a community that will assist, develop, promote and strengthen the quality of life for our companion animals. Recent projects we are participating in include Bhante Wimala of the Triple Gem Society, Helping Our Helpers of Dallas, and the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC.org) in Washington, DC. Since the loss of our companion, Steve Swan, Ellipse carries the burden of educating our industry about the needs for our community residents who are victims of violent crime. One of the benefits of being able to profit from doing work that you also happen to love is the chance to give back to the community. Please click here to view our 2008 recipients of financial contributions and donations. Below are the sites that we are currently supporting with technical assistance and marketing support services. If you’ve reached the point in your company’s life or a point in your career where you are able to give back, please consider one of these organizations. We think they are justifiably worthy. If you are part of a community organization and your group needs an Internet presence, we would be glad to review your options. You know, it never hurts to ask. |
